Mr. Arun Maira (Chairman Emeritus) is currently the Chair of the Board of Trustees of HelpAge International and Chancellor of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh.
He has held leadership positions across the private as well as the public sector enterprises, working with the Tata Group in India, and Arthur D Little in the USA, before returning to India as Chairman of the Boston Consulting Group.
In 2009, Mr Maira was appointed by the Prime Minister of India as a member of the Planning Commission of India. He has been the Chairman of the Quality Council of India, the Axis BankFoundation, and Save the Children India. He has authored several books on topics including leadership, capitalism, democracy and India.
Mr. Harpal Singh (Chairman) has long and wide-ranging experience in the corporate and social sectors and has held leadership positions in the automobile, consumer products and healthcare enterprises. He was non-executive Chairman of India's largest pharmaceutical company, Ranbaxy and is currently the mentor and Chairman Emeritus of Fortis Healthcare. Whilst chairing the Impact Group, he sits on the Board of the Escorts Heart Institute and Religare Enterprises. He's on some of India's most renowned school and university Boards and is a member of the National Round Table on School Education. He is also a member of India-UK Round Table, India-US Strategic Dialogue and is associated with the Public Health Foundation of India. He is the Founder Chairman Trustee of Nanhi Chhaan and Chronic Care Foundations. He is currently also a member of the Save the Children International's Board.
Mr. Rajiv Kapur has been an international banker for over 20 years with assignments in multi-cultural environments in India, Asia and USA. He is the founder of InvesTech. He has worked as the Managing Director of the Asia Financial Institutions Group at Bank of America. His broad range of experience includes corporate banking, restructuring, mergers and acquisition advisory services, financial advisory assignments, asset securitization, capital markets, working capital funding, syndication and structured debt financing, trade finance, capital markets and credit risk management.
Swaroop Sampat Rawal
Ms. Swaroop Sampat Rawal, a talented actress, a former Miss India and a noted child rights activist, is also the wife of actor and Member of Parliament Paresh Rawal. Swaroop is an educational researcher and trainer and travels across India to conduct workshops for teachers to facilitate understanding in life skills and drama in education. Selected by the former Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi to head an educational programme in the state, she has for the last seven years been training primary school teachers in Gujarat on using drama as a tool to augment life skills. Taking it a step further Swaroop also works with social workers and police personnel in the areas of life skills and child rights in Gujarat and other states. An expert communicator with 20+ years of experience dedicated to community development and advocacy within the field of education, she aims to help children overcome adversity and become resilient.
Mr. N Kumar is the Vice-Chairman of The Sanmar Group. He is the Honorary Consul General of Greece in Chennai and Honorary Business Representative of the International Enterprise Singapore (formerly Singapore Trade Development Board). Mr N Kumar has a wide range of public interests going beyond the confines of corporate industrial management in health, social welfare, education and sports. One special area where Mr Kumar and the Group are involved is a Centre for Exceptional Children called the Madhuram Narayanan Centre and the Group runs a number of educational institutions.
Mr. Ravi Singh started his career as a Lecturer in History at Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University. From there he moved on to work with well known Multi National Companies like the Duetsche Bank, where he spent close to two decades. He is currently the Secretary General & CEO of WWF India.
Rajendra S. Pawar
Mr. Rajendra S. Pawar is Chairman and co-founder of the NIIT Group that encompasses two businesses - NIIT Limited, the leading Global Talent Development Corporation and NIIT Technologies Limited, the software and services organisation. A visionary in creating sustainable models for education, growth and talent development. Mr Pawar is a member of the Indian Prime Minister’s National Council on Skill Development and has also served on the Prime Minister’s National Taskforce commissioned to develop India into an IT Superpower. Actively involved in India’s Chambers of Commerce, he is currently a member of the International Business Council at the World Economic Forum. He is also on the Board of Governors of India’s premier educational institutions - Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore and the Scindia School. Currently, a member of India’s Planning Commission’s Consultative Group on Higher Education, his focus is - NIIT University, a not-for-profit University set up with a vision of being a leading center of innovation and learning in emerging areas of education. In recognition of distinguished service to the nation in Industry and Trade, he was conferred with the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in early 2011.
Rakesh Bharti Mittal
Mr. Rakesh Bharti Mittal is the Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Bharti Enterprises, one of India’s leading business groups with interests in telecom, agri business, financial services, retail, realty, and communication and media devices. Mr Mittal is a member of the National Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) since 1999 and is currently the Chairman of CII Development Initiative Council (DIC). He is also a member of the National Food Processing Development Council (NFPDC), Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India and of India Pakistan Joint Business Forum (IPJBF) to strengthen and promote economic relations between two countries. A passionate advocate of right to good education, Mr Mittal serves on Boards of several educational institutions. Besides his role as the Co-Chairman of Bharti Foundation, he devotes time to several charitable institutions in India. Mr Mittal has been awarded the Honorary Doctor of Civil Law Degree by Newcastle University, UK.
Ms. Mirai Chatterjee is the Director of the Social Security at Self-Employed Women’s Association, (SEWA). She is responsible for SEWA’s Health Care, Child Care and Insurance programmes. She is currently the Chairperson of the National Insurance VimoSEWA Cooperative Ltd and is actively involved with the Lok Swasthya Health Cooperative. Both cooperatives are promoted by SEWA. She joined SEWA in 1984 and was its General Secretary after its Founder, Ela Bhatt. Ms Chatterjee serves on the Boards of several organisations, including the Friends of Women’s World Banking (FWWB), the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and the Health Action Partnership International (HAPI). She was the advisor to the National Commission for Enterprises in the unorganised sector and is in the Advisory Group of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM). She was also a Commissioner in the World Health Organization’s Commission on the Social Determinants of Health.
Dr Arindam Bhattacharya
Dr Arindam Bhattacharya is the Managing Director of The Boston Consulting Group, India. Before taking over his current role he was a member of the global leadership team of BCG’s Industrial Goods practice and led the Industrial Goods practice in India, and was the co-leader of BCG’s Global Advantage Initiative. Starting his career with the Eicher Group in India, Dr Bhattacharya has over 23 years of experience in the industry, consulting and as a researcher focused on the manufacturing industry and has advised leading Indian and global companies on the same. As a thought leader on the manufacturing industry in India he has led the BCG teams that have worked with India’s Planning Commission to develop the 12th five-year plan for the Indian industry.
